states
Moods for agents: thinking, working, waiting, blocked, done.
A face can show its owner's status, which suits AI agents: each one is identifiable in a crowded sidebar, and its status is on the face itself rather than a badge beside it.
idleat ease: breathing, blinking, glancing at the pointer
thinkingeyes up and away, one brow raised, head tilted
workingeyes down reading, brows set, a steady nod
waitingbrows up, a hopeful smile, looking at you
blockedknitted brows, a frown, slumped, shaking now and then
donea big smile, a pleased squint, a little hop
A state changes the mouth and brows, the head's motion, and adds a mark beside the head that's legible at 32px. It works in every look. Changing state repaints the face in place, without remounting.

In a GIF the state's motion loops: /api/face?name=agent-47&state=working&format=gif. In the CLI: --state working. Static formats show the expression and mark.
